The fascinating & unique country of Namibia is full of wide horizons, endless stretches of golden desert dunes and rocky plains so unusual they don't seem to come from this world. Its vast open spaces are home to a wealth of birds and animals; some of them rare protected species and some exquisite plant life found nowhere else in the world. Namibia as a holiday destination is truly a unique wonderland.

SWAKOPMUND - This is Namibia’s most popular coastal resort, which looks very much like a Bavarian village, with characteristic shops as well as a great selection of restaurants and hotels. The coast with its desert hinterland offers many options, both for adventure and relaxation. Experience the ultimate thrill as you ride a 4-wheeled motorbike through a boundless expanse of shifting dunes or alternatively take a cruise to Bird Island, where seals will swim up to the boats for something to eat.

SOSSUSVLEI - Located in the Naukluft National Park, Sossusvlei is the oldest desert in the world. The central region is a vast area of sand and dunes, with dry pans interspersed. Experience the vastness and beauty of this area by climbing the dunes at sunrise or even better enjoy their magic by fl ying over them in a hot air balloon.

DAMARALAND - In this vast area you may be lucky enough to catch sight of some rare desert elephant and black rhino. Hidden in a valley called Twyfelfontein is a prehistoric art gallery exhibiting thousands of ancient paintings and engravings. Nearby is the Petrified Forest and the strange rock formations that resemble organ pipes.

ETOSHA - The word ‘Etosha’ means ‘the great white place of dry water’. It is one of Africa’s greatest and most important game parks where an incredible diversity of game roam free, including lion, eland, elephant, giraffe, zebra and ostrich. Ongava Game Reserve is a 70 000 acre private reserve on Etosha’s southern border.

SKELETON COAST - This area of Namibia is wild, desolate and uninhabited with soaring sand dunes, wonderful pastel-coloured plains, towering canyons and mountains, salt pans, seal colonies, shipwrecks and superb game viewing. Freshwater springs permeate barren sand to create beautiful oasis.

FISH RIVER CANYON - The second largest canyon in the world next to the USA’s Grand Canyon, the Fish River Canyon is located in southern Namibia in the eastern Namib Desert. Most famous for its spectacular scenery, the Canyon boasts an 86km-long hiking trail. Guided tours on horseback are also offered to view the Canyon’s spectacular geological formations, which started literally 350 million years ago. In the Canyon one finds the incredible Gondwana Canon Park, which is home to a variety of animals.
