Kruger National Park - Budget Rest Camps


The Kruger National Park is a massive wilderness area that runs from the far north of South Africa,
in the Limpopo Province, bordering Zimbabwe, down the length of Mozambique to its right, into
South Africa’s Mpumalanga Province, almost to Swaziland. The distance from top to bottom is
approximately 350kms! Self-drive clients can access the park through any of the following gates:
In the south - Paul K

ruger, Numbi, Phabeni, Malalane and Crocodile Bridge. Orpen gate accesses
the central part of the park and Phalaborwa, Punda Maria and Pufuri gates the northern part.


Facilities - The park offers diverse terrain, bushveld and wildlife. Guests will be able to experience
close encounters with elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard in a natural unfenced environment.
Wild dog, cheetah, zebra, giraffe and a variety of other species are also indigenous to the Park. A
paradise for wildlife enthusiasts with close to 150 mammals, over 380 species of indigenous trees,
as well as over 500 bird species, the Park is a birdwatcher’s haven.


Accommodation - Rest Camp units are serviced daily, with bedding, towels and soap provided.
Most of the units have air-conditioning. Meals are enjoyed in the rest camp restaurant.
