Mauritius
Lying off the east coast of Africa, out in the Indian Ocean in
peaceful seclusion,
this idyllic island is surrounded by sandy white beaches and cooled

trade winds, carrying with them the scent of wild flowers and the
spices that
are grown here.
Mauritius is a most beautiful island, with lush subtropical forests,

of palm trees and craters and basalt rocks littering its interior.

marketplace. A recent addition is the modern Caudan Waterfront complex,
the islands
premier commercial shopping and entertainment centre.
The north coast of the island is particularly popular, with superb
year-round weather
and the delightful and elegant resort town of Grand Baie, home of
many interesting
shops and restaurants. Right around Mauritius on its many superb
